Terms for the optional Cursay Pro service.
Effective September 23, 2026
Open-source application
The Cursay desktop application is provided under the MIT License. Cursay Pro is a separate paid hosted service that provides managed transcription and polishing.
Plans and allowances
Pro costs $8 USD monthly or $80 USD yearly. Both billing cadences include 1,500 cloud minutes in each monthly service window anchored to the subscription date. Minutes do not roll over, and there are no automatic overage charges or automatic top-ups. Local dictation remains unlimited.
Cursay analysis credits
Where Memory is available, Pro and trial accounts include 100,000 Cursay credits per UTC calendar month. These are Cursay product units, independent of model tokens, and cover Memory analysis rather than cloud dictation minutes. Unused included credits reset each month. An optional one-time top-up adds 100,000 credits for $5 USD plus applicable tax. Included credits are used first; purchased credits carry forward and do not reset with the monthly allowance or when you forget Memory. An active Pro plan or trial is required to use Memory analysis. There are no automatic purchases. Refunded or disputed purchases may have their credits withdrawn.
Trial
The seven-day trial requires a valid payment method and includes a lifetime maximum of 120 cloud minutes. The full paid allowance begins only after the first successful payment. Unless canceled, the selected plan begins when the trial ends.
Cancellation and payment failure
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term. Failed payments receive a 72-hour service grace period; access may end after that period. Refunds may revoke the corresponding paid entitlement. Stripe’s Customer Portal is the authoritative place to manage billing.
Availability
Cloud models and routed providers can change. Cursay may refuse a cloud request when the subscription is inactive, the allowance is exhausted, a recording exceeds 40 MiB or 20 minutes, or safety and capacity limits apply. The desktop app attempts local fallback where supported.
No content license
You retain rights in your recordings and text. You grant only the limited, transient permission needed to process a cloud request. Cursay does not claim a license to train on dictation content.
Disclaimer
The service is provided as available and may produce transcription or editing errors. Verify important medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, and professional text before using or sending it.
